Testing Software Using Rational Functional Tester (RFT)
This courseis a series of Web-based training modules that teach you about aspects of implementing GUI test automation using IBM Rational Functional Tester. This material will not be included on IBM's certification test.
This course includes:
- Testing Applications Using RFT: Learn the skills necessary to deploy and use IBM Rational Functional Tester. You will learn the basic use of the tool, understand how it behaves, and become familiar with its capabilities. You will learn about the IBM GUI automation framework and how it promotes a best practices approach to automated testing. You will also learn the techniques and practices that are critical to a successful automation project.
- RFT Advanced Techniques: Learn the skills necessary to make the best use of Functional Tester. While some of the advanced techniques described in this course may not be useful for your team, it is important that you become familiar with all of them so that you can make that determination. In this course, you will learn how to make best use of the debugger, how to save time by unit testing your automation code, how to build an error recovery system, and how to write a custom logger that meets your team's reporting requirements.
